Mexican Poppies at the base of the Florida Mountains near Deming New Mexico. This burst of spring is a rare occasion, when these southern mountains see a generous amount of winter snow� allowing enough moisture to awaken the wild poppy seeds from hibernation. This lovely and refreshing high desert wild flower bloom is occurring at approx. elevation of 4500 ft.
