As the "Tour of the Gila" in southwest New Mexico comes to a close, the big Gila Monster race with its grueling elevation changes through the Gila National Forest, is the grand finally on the 5th day of the race. This year the weather has added even more challenges, cold, wind and with occasional light snow. In 2010, the 24th running of this annual event which has been filled with the extra excitement of some very well known names in the world of cycling in attendance for the second year in a row. Levi Leipheimer is the overall winner of "Tour of the Gila", May 2, 2010 in Pinos Altos, New Mexico USA.
